About

We are living in a world where we are surrounded by a mass of different sources that are constantly shoving sad times in our faces; I think we could use a little Happy Times.

Be sure to check out all that Happy Times has to offer:

News: Happy Times is your source for all things positive, enlightening and entertaining, all told with an abundance of hope and happiness.  Send a news tip if there is an event in the LA area that you would like covered.

Cooking: After being diagnosed with two rare forms of Kidney Disease, I have been forced to put down the salt shaker and explore a whole new realm of cooking.  Here you will find delicious, low-sodium recipes, ranging from appetizers and snacks to main dishes and desserts.  Even if you have a grip on the shaker, as I once did, I guarantee you will find these recipes so delicious that you may never season your food again.

Community: Civic engagement is one of many things in my life that keep me moving and motivated.  I believe that we all have a voice, a story, and purpose in this world.  Here you will find a variety of community-related stories, including, volunteer experiences and feature stories of individuals who are making a difference in their community.  Do you know someone who is doing awesome things in your community?  Happy Times wants to know!

Art: To me, art is a process of deliberately and often unintentionally arranging new and found items in a way that influences our senses, emotions and intellect.  Here you will find a complete step by step guide on how to complete a featured product from start to finish.  These items will range from jewelry and canvas art to adornments and home furnishings.  These pieces will frequently be for sale on my Etsy Shop for those who rather purchase than create.

Music: Happy Times loves music!  It motivates, meditates, and inspires.  Here you will find a mix of music-related information, including album reviews, profiles of local artists, and special features.
